Queens Park
As a hub of communal engagement, Queens Park hosts a myriad of events, notably the renowned Carnival of Flowers festivities such as The Gala Dinner, The Flower, Food and Wine Festival, and Side-Show Alley in the effervescent month of September. Additionally, the Languages and Cultures Festival graces the park each August, adding to its cultural vibrancy.
Spanning 26.3 hectares, Queens Park was envisioned and brought to fruition by Walter Hill, a distinguished government botanist and superintendent of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens. The park boasts a rich diversity of trees sourced from Europe, Asia, and beyond, now standing majestically along shaded avenues as venerable sentinels of time.
